I received this book this morning and greatly look forward to having the time to explore it in more depth. From what I gather, a central part of its argument is that, in the theology of Luther, Christ is not merely the
object of faith, but is 'really present in faith itself', even to the extent of being properly called the
subject of faith. Of course, this ties in nicely with some of the recent positions that have arisen in the
pistis Iesou Christou debates and also with the doctrine of theosis.
